Last night when I got home (from an awesome time of prayer with some of my brothers from GC.TV) I sat down with my wife to watch the Home Run Derby.
What a show! Josh Hamilton set a new record for a single round by hitting 28 dingers in the opening round! And 3 of them were for more than 500 feet!!
To make it even more interesting was his story that the commentators kept eluding to. Hamilton recently put his faith in Jesus and overcame a life of addiction that was tearing his life apart and put his baseball career on hold for a number of years. But that was all BEFORE last night! Last night… well, he was in the house that Ruth built, banging in a record setting performance and sharing his faith every chance he got!
During one of Hamilton’s many long bombs, Rick Reilly put it well, “It’s certainly a lousy night go be an atheist!”
